Our olive bar is complete with a wide variety of olive shapes, sizes and flavors. From the classic deep purple Kalamata olive to the rich salt & oil cured Moroccan olive, Sevan Bakery has an olive to satisfy even the most discriminating taste bud. Olives aren’t the only staple of Mediterranean cuisine.
Our nut bar overflows with rich, flavorful black walnuts, imported pistachio nuts, cashews, raw almonds, prepared almonds, mixed nuts, hard to find fresh pine nuts and honey glazed pecans. To complement our nut bazaar is a dried fruit section including the traditional dried fruits of the Mediterranean such as dates(we also carry Israeli Dates), figs, sour cherries, apricots and raisins.
No traditional table is complete without an assortment of cheeses. Our cheese case opens the door to an International potpourri of taste sensations starting with the traditional goat’s milk feta cheese from Israel, Cypress or Bulgaria. Bulgarian Sirene is a cheese made with a combination of cow and sheep’s milk. We carry the traditional cheeses you need to make your table complete from places like Armenia, Denmark, France, Turkey and other areas around the Mediterranean and Middle East. And, if you’re counting calories, many of our cheeses are available in low fat, by the pound or pre-packaged. Rounding out our cheese bazaar is a variety of vacuum packed string cheeses especially Armenian string cheese, Syrian, Kashkaval (kasseris), imported Blue Cheeses, muenster, tolum cheeses and more.
For gourmet meat and fish lovers, you’ll always find the best basterma and soujouk in town at Sevan Bakery! Our basterma (պաստուրմա) starts with premium beef and is seasoned and air-cured using centuries old recipes and methods. In our cases you will find Black Sea Whole Mackerel, cold smoked mackerel, skinless or salted anchovies, Greek peeled sardines and other fruits from the sea.
